as EV Cargo Netherlands - Christian Sonneveldt promoted to Managing Director from 1 March 2025

Building on the success of the acquisition of Allport Netherlands, EV Cargo is pleased to
confirm that the business is now fully integrated into EV Cargo’s European logistics execution
platform and will soon be rebranded as EV Cargo Netherlands. This name change marks an
important milestone, with Allport Netherlands united under the EV Cargo brand and global
identity, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in international logistics solutions. This
follows the successful acquisition and integration of Fast Forward Freight in 2022, which has
previously been rebranded and provided the foundation of EV Cargo’s expanded European
business.
As part of a planned leadership succession process, Christian Sonneveldt will be promoted to
Managing Director of the Rotterdam operation, effective 1 March 2025. Christian’s innovation,
expertise and dedication make him the ideal candidate to take on this leadership role, and he
will report to the CEO of EV Cargo Global Forwarding & Technology, Paul Coutts.
At the same time, Victor Wever, founder of Allport Netherlands, will transition to a Senior
Advisor role. Victor’s remarkable vision and commitment over more than 12 years have been
instrumental in building Allport Netherlands into the thriving business it is today.
The company, which has its main operating centre in Rotterdam as well as integrated
operations with the rest of EV Cargo at Schiphol, has grown rapidly by providing high quality
air and sea freight forwarding and PO management services for importers and retailers across
the Netherlands. Combining these capabilities with EV Cargo’s strength in the Netherlands and
its global network has expanded the solutions and value offered to customers and partners
across the region.
