EV Cargo, the leading global freight forwarding, supply chain services and technology company, has announced the promotion of Sandy Chan to the newly created role of Vice President, Human Resources & Administration, Asia.

Having held the position of Vice President, Human Resources & Administration, Hong Kong & South China, since joining EV Cargo in August 2022, the expansion of her geographic coverage will help support EV Cargo’s people and business growth strategies across the important Asia region.

Based at its global headquarters in Hong Kong, Ms Chan will play a key role in EV Cargo’s activities across Asia, including human resources operations, business partnering, organization planning and change management.

Her appointment further strengthens EV Cargo’s central leadership team in Asia and follows a number of significant hirings across the commercial, finance, human resources and investor relations functions as the business builds a platform to continue executing its growth strategy across Asian markets.

These appointments include: Justin Bentley as Vice President, South East Asia; Barry Ng as Managing Director, Greater China; Peer Arno Schmidt as Commercial Director, Greater China; Ricky Yip as Finance Director, Greater China; and Dorothy Zhang as Managing Director, Northern & Central China.

In addition to further Asian leadership team appointments, Ms Chan’s expanded responsibilities will be key as EV Cargo has ongoing plans and initiatives to increase its workforce in the region by more than 100 additional colleagues.

EV Cargo remains committed to its strategic growth target to surpass $3bn of revenue through organic growth and strategic M&A activities. These appointments and additions to EV Cargo’s senior management teams strengthens a well-established footprint across Asia and ensures the company remains on track to deliver its strategy while providing its customers with the best possible service regardless of the operating environment.
