NFT Distribution, the UK leader in temperature-controlled transport, has appointed a new operations director.
Glenn Taylor-Ringsell will oversee warehouse and transport operations for the company’s chilled distribution division, which includes receipt, storage, picking and repacking of fresh food and grocery products before onward delivery to regional distribution centres.
Formerly a vice president of operations with DHL, Glenn began his career as a picker on the shop floor. He has since accrued 35 years’ logistics experience in the DIY, fast-moving consumer goods, grocery and pharmaceutical sectors, including management and directorship roles with the likes of Travis Perkins, Lloyd Fraser Group, Logistics International and Autobar Ltd.
“Coming from a very corporate business background I was intrigued by the operational freedom and agility of NFT,” he said.
“To be able to own a complex business end to end is a great opportunity and challenge. I am here to pick up the great work completed to date and lead the development of the operations for the future.”
Glenn’s appointment further strengthens NFT’s management structure.
