This year’s annual Delivering, Better Awards once again shone a spotlight on the fantastic work of Palletforce employees during 2019.

The award categories ranged from teamwork and honesty to quality and agility and were the culmination of a year-long process to identify those members of staff who, in their own way, have contributed to Palletforce’s ongoing success by going the extra mile.

The finalists were from all departments at Palletforce’s central Hub, selected following a series of monthly meetings featuring specially-appointed Employee Champions.

Highlights of this year’s ceremony, which was held at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium, included the IT Support Team winning the Outstanding Business Contribution Award after launching three pioneering tech platforms in 2019. These included Alliance Sense, which saw Palletforce become the first logistics network in the UK to use artificial intelligence technology.

The Team also won the Teamwork Award while Antony Hollins from IT was presented with the Diversity Award for his work on the ePod system roll-out.

Tom Lakin won the Apprentice of the Year Award, and Kieran “Charlie” Gladdin not only picked up the FLT Driver of the Year but received the Honesty Award, given to those employees who exhibit a high standard of integrity.

In all there were winners in 14 categories, all of whom were presented with a glass trophy and a certificate. Roydon Jones, Sandra Mould and Stuart Geldard also received long-service awards for their 15 years’ dedicated work with Palletforce.

Palletforce CEO Michael Conroy said: “The Delivering, Better culture programme plays a key part in ensuring that our success continues, and that Palletforce remains an amazing company.

“Palletforce is the best in the business, and that is entirely down to the hard work, commitment and support of every single employee. Our people consistently go the extra mile and want to exceed expectations and that’s why we continue to succeed. I am humbled and honoured to lead such a fantastic team of people”
