Palletforce has been crowned the UK’s best at generating business after winning one of the most prestigious accolades at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.
Going head to head with some of the nation’s leading companies, Palletforce won the Vonage Business Enabler of the Year category, which celebrates businesses that help their customers or clients increase sales and profitability through a competitive advantage.
Leading through technology and innovation, Palletforce demonstrated its ability to proactively enable business for its independent member companies by creating revenue opportunities and enabling business growth.
As part of global logistics group EV Cargo, Palletforce impressed the judges with its proven investments to connect trade and create network capacity, enabling its member businesses to grow.
By investing in world-class infrastructure, developing a global range of quality distribution services and pioneering industry-leading technology, Palletforce has maximised the growth potential of its network of 120 individual transport companies and their thousands of customers.
The £50m state-of-the-art distribution SuperHub at its Burton upon Trent headquarters has created the capacity to enable growth and led to record network volumes this year. Palletforce has also catalysed innovation with members benefitting from its recently launched Alliance Sense platform – using artificial intelligence to predict delivery success and deliver sector-leading customer service.
Michael Conroy, Palletforce chief executive officer, said: “Our members and their customers are central to everything we do as a network. Palletforce has continually invested to lead the sector by pioneering technology and innovation to deliver world-class quality and service. As part of EV Cargo, we’ve connected international trade and created market-leading growth opportunities, providing our members with long-term stability.
“The National Business Awards have pitched Palletforce against some of the UK’s top companies, so we are all immensely proud of what we’ve achieved together as a network.”
The Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, known as the Oscars of the business world, have a long-standing history of celebrating the best of British business.
“Every entry goes through a rigorous judging process,” said Richard Alvin, awards director. “This ensures that the Awards are truly an accolade to world-class achievements. We saw an extremely high level of competition this year, so I would like to personally congratulate all of our finalists, who should feel incredibly proud for making the shortlist.”
This year’s event took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
