EV Cargo Logistics has appointed a new Head of Health & Safety. Andrew Mawson has joined to help develop a robust health and safety strategy driven by procedural and behavioural change.

Andrew has significant experience in the logistics sector and is Chair of the IOSH logistics and retail committee.

In addition to powering the strategy around Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ), he will also increase engagement and communication across EV Cargo Logistics.

Andrew said: “I’m very much looking forward to my new role with EV Cargo. Health and safety is very much in the hands of all colleagues and we want to build a culture of safe working across the business and a common-sense approach to health and safety.

“It’s also important we recognise colleagues who have a strong safety performance record and support those who may have concerns.”

Duncan Eyre, Chief Executive of EV Cargo Logistics, said: “Andrew’s appointment is great for our business and it demonstrates continued and further investment to provide the best possible working environment for our colleagues.

“He has valuable experience across the logistics industry and brings both the knowledge and expertise to deliver tangible benefits for both our colleagues and business.
