Palletforce has again pulled out all the stops to support people who make a difference in their local community.

The UK’s leading pallet network is a long-time partner of the Burton Albion Community Trust, the charitable arm of League One team Burton Albion FC.

The Trust uses the power of sport to improve lives, and over the last nine years it has engaged with more than 7,000 local people a week, with ages ranging from four to 80-plus.

Its annual awards night is an opportunity to celebrate the work BACT delivers in the community, and this year Palletforce sponsored the Star Award: Health and Wellbeing category.

Danielle Owen, head of EV Cargo Palletforce’s marketing and communications, said: “BACT make a fantastic contribution to the community in Burton, and as a proud Burton company we are delighted to support these awards.

“The category has special significance, as we will be working with the Trust in 2020 to support their invaluable health and wellbeing programme.”

Palletforce are also sponsors of Burton Albion, and both first team manager Nigel Clough and skipper Jake Buxton were among the guests at the club’s Pirelli Stadium.

Matt Hancock, BACT Head of Community, said: “Without the support of Burton Albion and all of our sponsors and partners none of this would be possible and I hope they all saw how their backing helps us make an important difference out there in the community every week of the year.”
