EV Cargo is once again helping Marks & Spencer deliver Christmas to thousands of customers around the UK this year.

And tomorrow you can see our team in action on TV, as Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace goes behind the scenes at one of the supermarket giant’s biggest suppliers.

For the latest episode of his hit BBC2 series Inside The Factory, Gregg visited Addo Food Group to follow the production of a range of party food made at the company’s Riverside site in Nottingham.

This week’s episode also features profiles of key members of Addo’s supply chain, including EV Cargo, which handles daily Marks & Spencer collections before distributing consignments to outlets across the country. EV Cargo plays a major role in ensuring supplies don’t run short at Christmas, with festive season logistical planning taking place months in advance.

This year we expect to deliver 700,000 Yorkshire puddings, 800,000 pots of gravy and more than two million pigs in blankets to Marks & Spencer in the run-up to Christmas. This is on top of eight million bottles of tonic water, 16 million cans of lager, and seven million bars of chocolate a week.

* Inside The Factory is screened on BBC 2 at 9pm on Thursday, December 12.
