Unsung heroes at EV Cargo Logistics (Downton) have played a major part in fighting the coronavirus pandemic this year.
Working with biotech company Greiner Bio, the team at EV Cargo Logistics’s Moreton Valence warehouse has been responsible for storing and distributing vital medical supplies to help frontline NHS staff.
Since June these have included over six million Covid test kit items, while during the peak of the pandemic in April 10 loads of desperately-needed PPE were sent into Manchester.
“We have been working closely with Greiner Bio for the last three years, but this year we’ve really seen the true strength of our relationship,” says warehouse manager Ian Blackwell.
“This is all ongoing with EV Cargo Logistics providing logistical support where needed, and I’d like to pay tribute to the fantastic team here who have made it all happen in often very difficult circumstances.”
